- Originalmente o roteiro dizia que o leiloeiro seria judeu. Entretanto, quando o roteiro passou pela Simian Films, a produtora de Hugh Grant, ele sugeriu que a história fosse alterada para um leiloeiro inglês a fim de que pudesse ficar com o papel principal desta comédia.

Sinopse
